Terms of Service & User Governance
Governing the use of AgriTrust digital cooperative wallets, agricultural marketplace escrow, multi-asset crypto settlements, and agronomic advisory.
1. Acceptance & User Eligibility
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding contract between you ("User", "Farmer", "Buyer", or "Merchant") and Riyawa Contractors Nigeria Limited, operating the AgriTrust Platform ("AgriTrust", "we", "us").
By accessing, browsing, registering an account on agritrust.ng, or utilizing our digital wallets, escrow contracts, subsidized input programs, or AI Crop Doctor services, you explicitly represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age or possess legal capacity under Nigerian law.
- If representing a registered cooperative society, union, corporate farm, or commodity off-taker, you possess the corporate authority to bind said organization.
- You have not been previously banned, suspended, or flagged for fraudulent activity on our network.
2. Account Registration & KYC Verification Tiers
To maintain a secure financial ecosystem compliant with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) anti-money laundering (AML) directives, user accounts operate under progressive verification tiers:
| Tier | Requirements | Features & Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1: Basic | Phone number, full legal name, email address | AI Agronomy, browsing marketplace, max โฆ50,000 wallet limit |
| Tier 2: Verified Farmer | National Identification Number (NIN), farm location, selfie verification | Cooperative microloans, listing produce, dedicated bank virtual account, up to โฆ1,000,000/day |
| Tier 3: Commercial & Web3 | BVN verification, proof of address, cooperative registration or CAC documents | Unlimited marketplace trade, multi-chain USDT crypto wallet, external blockchain payouts, priority off-take contracts |
3. Marketplace Escrow Protection Mechanics
AgriTrust enforces an automated Verified Escrow Protocol for all agricultural commodity trades executed across our platform to safeguard both rural growers and commercial buyers:
- Locking of Funds: When a buyer places an order (via Naira wallet, debit card, or Tether USDT), 100% of the purchase amount is deposited and locked securely in AgriTrust Escrow.
- Harvest Dispatch: The farmer/seller is notified to prepare, pack, and dispatch the produce to the specified delivery location or cooperative hub.
- Inspection Period: Buyers receive a mandatory 48-hour inspection window upon physical arrival of perishable goods (grains, tubers, fruits) and 7 business days for farm machinery/equipment to verify quality, weight, and grade conformity.
- Release of Funds: Upon buyer confirmation of delivery, or upon expiration of the inspection window without a logged dispute, escrow funds are instantly unlocked and credited to the seller's wallet.
4. Multi-Asset Digital Wallets & Payouts
AgriTrust provides a dual-currency digital wallet enabling users to manage both liquid Nigerian Naira (NGN) and stablecoin cryptocurrency (USDT):
- Virtual Account Funding: Every verified user receives dedicated NIBSS-routed virtual accounts (e.g., Sterling Bank PLC or Wema Bank PLC). Any Nigerian bank transfer to this account credits your AgriTrust Naira balance automatically within 60 seconds.
- Local Bank Cashouts: Naira withdrawals to your registered commercial bank account are processed 24/7 via certified payment switches.
- Mandatory 4-Digit Security PIN: You must configure a secret 4-digit payout PIN. This PIN is strictly required to authorize any withdrawal, peer-to-peer farmer transfer, or currency swap. You are exclusively responsible for safeguarding your PIN.
5. USDT Cryptocurrency & Web3 Settlement Terms
To unlock frictionless cross-border agricultural trade with diaspora buyers and international grain offtakers, AgriTrust integrates Tether (USDT) multi-chain settlement:
- Network Matching: You are solely responsible for sending USDT on the correct supported blockchain: TRON (TRC-20), Polygon POS (EVM), or BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20). AgriTrust is not liable for tokens sent via unsupported networks (such as Solana or Bitcoin Omni).
- On-Chain Verification: Manual deposits require submitting a valid blockchain Transaction ID (TxID). Funds are credited only after automated on-chain verification confirms the transaction has settled at your assigned receiving address.
- Instant Currency Swaps: Farmers may convert USDT into liquid Naira at real-time market rates synced live from international index feeds (CoinGecko / Binance P2P). Swapped Naira credits your liquid balance with 0 delay.
- Withdrawal Gas Fees: External payouts to third-party exchanges or personal wallets incur network gas fees deducted directly from the withdrawal amount ($1.50 for TRC-20, $0.50 for Polygon, $0.80 for BEP-20).
6. Seller & Buyer Code of Conduct
